A gentle morning light and water ripples paint the BIPH with overflowing autumn colors. There is a touch of golden hue in the air as the autumn breeze blows. Dreams are woven into the drizzling rain. Slowly unfolding autumn days in this landscape of campus change the scenery, and emotions linger. The melodious sound of reading may echo passionately; you may see a few Sea Dragons strolling leisurely in the avenue, or you may feel the vitality and vigor of vigorous strides; some students might gather to engage in deep conversations. The golden autumn has flowed, and everything is stored in this season. We hope the memories of our campus time will be treasured forever.
For a Cuneiform activity in world history, the students were provided chopsticks and pottery clay to simulate the ancient writing process. Cuneiform, one of the earliest known writing systems, originated in Mesopotamia around 3400 BCE. It involves making wedge-shaped marks in clay, different from later alphabetic systems that use letters to represent sounds. Students used chopsticks to mimic the stylus that ancient scribes used, pressing into the clay to form symbols, offering them a hands-on experience of how early civilizations communicated and recorded information. This enjoyable teaching method has made our history class livelier and more engaging.

Recently, our Grade 7 students embarked on an exciting journey to the lab, where they explored the concept of evolution through natural selection. This hands-on experience brought the idea of "survival of the fittest" to life, highlighting its relevance in everyday scenarios.

During the lab session, our Grade 7 sea dragons engaged in a dynamic experiment to investigate how these two factors interact. By using different “bird beaks” to pick up various “foods,” students competed to see who could gather the most sustenance. The excitement in the room was palpable as they pushed their limits, demonstrating not only their understanding of natural selection but also their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

A special thank you to Lab Manager Ms. Stephanie for her meticulous preparation of this engaging activity. This memorable experience not only deepened students' grasp of evolutionary concepts but also emphasized the importance of adaptation in the natural world. It was an event that truly brought science to life!
